It has been some time since I updated my blog and I put this down to pressure of work, cold weather, old age forgetfulness, senior moment and any other excuse you can think of. Not a lot has been happening regarding my bike – but I am hoping it will be all welded together this week. I will upload photos as I go along with painting and reassembly. I am missing not going out on my bike but the weather is so cold that I am glad I have an excuse not to train. When I get the bike back I have a lot of catching up to do. Started counting the calories – but as we do not have any scales not sure how much of a difference it is making. Mind you I now have a couple of pairs of trousers that I can close the top button where before it was impossible – hopefully that is a good sign and not that for some reason the trousers have both decided to stretch at the same time. As well as keeping ourselves healthy we have decided to stop buying dry biscuits for the dogs and cook them meals – very similar to what we eat ourselves. We think with a varied healthy diet the dogs will benefit from this. Reading up on what goes into some of the commercial food then we think is the way to go. We have found many good websites giving recipes for dog meals. At the moment I am cooking tripe for the dogs and the smell is quite disgusting – may not buy this for them again
Our friends John and Marie Long have donated £20.00 to the sponsored cycle and we received £50.00 from Bridge Insurance in Manchester. This is great and the current total now stands at £112.50 which means we only have a further £987.50 to go.
