It is many weeks since I last wrote. Today was the first day out on my boke for 4 weeks. Weather was a problem in the last few weeks with wind and rain, and also my work has been preventing me from doing any cycling when I come home in the evening. Today I went out and cycled about 5-6 miles in short bursts and thoroughly enjoyed it with the weather being exceptionally sunny. Thought it was better to break into the exercise easy on the first day - now of course I have to ramp up the training!1!
Other reason for not cycling is that we are just back from Scotland where I attended my Mothers funeral who died at the age of 91. Even although it is something you expect will happen when it comes it is still a huge shock and a great loss to all the family. The only good thing is that Mum passed away quitely in her sleep.
Did you all see Lewis Hamilton win his first Grand Prix today? - pure magic and his drive was something bordering on perfection. He is very composed, articulate and a credit to his parents. The big crash was a bit if a downer but thankfully only a broken leg - what an amazing escape.
On the 24th of this Month I am taking part in Bristols Biggest Bike Ride where I am hoping to cycle the Clevedon Challenge which is 38 miles. Will take my camera and hopefully get plenty of photos on route to give ou some idea of the scale of the event. There are five different routes of varying distances - it is not a race just a fun day out.
WILL WRITE SOME MORE FAIRLY SOON.
REMEMBER THE REASONS FOR THE CYCLE:
