First I must apologise to all the glodfish in the world for suggesting in my previous Blog that they have a memory that is counted in nanoseconds. Listening to Radio 2 today, the Jeremy Vine show several people called in to state that Goldfish have a memory that lasts 9 months - you certainly learn something new every day.
Went out for a cycle today - never saw the Easter bunny but I averaged 10.7 mph, a distance of 26.26 miles and cycled for a total of 2hours 26 minutes and 2 seconds. Top speed down the hill was 34.2 mph. Weather was great, sun was out and only a very slight wind against me on the way back.
Thanks to my 3 personal trainers!!! I felt a lot better although my legs are feeling like jellly - guess need to warm up and warm down slightly more. I now am starting to think and beleive that the cycle is possible and that I will not collapse in a heap at the end. It is such a pleasure out cycling on a day like today.
Took a couple of photos today and they are on the site - link below - photos were nothing speacial but hope now the good weather is here I will remember to take more. Not likely to be able to cycle tomorrow as I will be leaving at 0430 and not home to around 1900.
I am convinced the flag and streamers are working as cars gave me a wide berth today.
Many people are telling me they will sponsor me nearer the time of the cycle and that is great, however if some could please pledge some money now it may help us to get more sponsors in. Thank you - and a big thank you to everyone who has sponsored me so far. Your money really does make a difference.
Take care and stay safe/
