Feeling good today after my cycle. Was working unto arpound 3.00pm and when I came home I ate a tin of mackerel fillets (good brain food!!!)![]()
Did the normal short circuit of 6.7 miles at an average speed of 11.5mph and downhill 24.9mph!!!
Felt pretty good, did not rush and enjoyed the lovelly Spring day. Great to be alive on a day like this - you can't help but think of people who are not as fortunate as yourself and thank the lucky start you have good health. So many people have health problems, and disabilities of all kinds and they manage to keep happy and focussed. Sometime we do not know how lucky we are
. ALso managed to take a couple of pictures and they will be on line quite soon.
One bit if bad news just as I got home the weld on my seat broke - need to take the bike to a Hospital for old and strange bikes.
One of the reasons for me feeling is that I have personal trainers - not one personal trainer BUT THREE>![]()
My sister Dorothy, does quite a lot of running and has 1 personal trainer and as Dorothy does everything when, how and where she should she nevers suffers any aches, pains or cramps - she has given me some sisterly advice about stretching, diet, warming up which I have tended to ignore.
Trainer No 2 is Vanessa (boss indoors) who last year ran the Bristol Half Marathon for the first time and is going to run again this year. Now Vanessa, like all good wives nags, SORRY IGNORE THAT WIVES DO NOT NAG!!!!! what they do is "they care for you" which means where possible they will try and help you by reminding you that you have certain things to do. This includes telling me what I should eat, drink, stretching exercises etc etc.
Trainer No 3 is Sam Walker who kindly sent me an e-mail telling me how to overcome the cramps, warming up and warming down, advice on what to eat, drink and even suggested I should wear STOCKINGS!!!! (not a pretty sight).
Having listened to them all I guess that is why I had such a good ride today????
