Where do I begin - went out with Dorothy and Charles on Friday night to the Gumstool Inn near Cirencester excellent food, great service andnot terribly expensive. When we arrived (we had not booked) we managed to get the last table. Having eaten the food I can understand why it is so popular.
The food was cooked exceptionally well and presented in such a way that you could hardly wait to eat it. (some photos on my picture site)
We talked, ate, drank a very nice wine and generally had a good time.
On Sat I did not do any cycling so in the evening we all went to watch Hot Fuzz at the cinema. Very funny. Much of the filming was in Glouycestershire and highlights the beautiful scenery we have in this area - well worth a visit.
Today I cycled on my own and did the normal short route 6.5 miles in 34.44 minutes at an average speed of 11.1mph and a top speed downhill of 26.7 mph. I felt quite good during the cycle although the head wind at the beginning and end was strong. I would like to get my Ave mph to something like 12mph and this would then be a reasonable speed in which to do the cycle.
Going to get ready to go out again tonight.
Take care and stay safe.
